Peter Douglas
was at Trinity from 1956 to 1963, and who
now lives in Albany, NY, USA. He works for the New York State
Talking Book and Braille Library Cultural Education Center.
He
first visited this website in late 2004 after his father sent him a
copy of the November 2004 article from the Chronicle & Echo.
He has been an avid reader and
contributor ever since.
Here Peter describes a number of his memories from his school
days, and the members of staff that either made them something he
wanted to remember, or something he thought he had forgotten.
The first article describes his last day at school, from an account
that he actually wrote at the time.
The articles make very interesting and times amusing reading,
and they bring back long-forgotten memories. Many of us can
remember with fondness some of the tings he said about "Jock" and
some pain the article on school sporting life with Mr Grimshaw.
The final article "Other School Moments Remembered" is
Peter finally emptying his memory banks. He believes that this
is it - there are no more memories to come out. Some of the
one-liners he has put here will surely evoke memories among many
readers.
He makes a final plea - send in your memories - he would like
to read them.
