Memories from Michael Taylor-Noonan
I attended the school from 1964 to 1967. I left because my family
were emigrating to Canada. I still live in Canada, but
remember a few things still about the school and its staff.
Here are a couple of memories.
1. I remember Nobby Clarke telling us we weren't allowed to wear
"cowboy" boots as he called them, "Beatle" Boots we probably did.
2. Buzzer Howard was a Mancunian. I remember this coming up
when I was there for a meeting with him and my mother -- not sure
why, but it was probably bad. I was from Manchester too, and
Gunner Wright obviously felt that my Mancunian accent was
unacceptable because I can remember him having me pronounce a
sentence word by word repeatedly until he claimed he could
understand what I was saying.
