Mr
Frank Wright, for 12 years deputy headmaster of Trinity High School,
Northampton, retired from the school staff today, having been associated
with the school for 35 years.
At a special presentation before the assembled school after prayers
today, Mr. Wright received some long playing records and a folding sun-lounger
beach chair, which were a gift from the pupils. Last night teaching
colleagues presented him with a record player.
Making today's presentation head boy, Trevor Crane said that every
member of the school admired Mr. Wright's honesty, integrity and sense
of justice.
Mr. Wright told pupils that he had taught many of their relatives -
parents, uncles and aunts - and he was always thrilled when he met
former pupils. He said he could fairly claim that he had done his best
for the school, and it was wonderful to see how the spirit of the school
had developed since he had been there.
The Headmaster, Mr. B. S. Howard, said that as Mr. Wright would continue
part time teaching; the school need feel no sense of permanent loss.
